What do you know of something like this?

#1 funkyshoe
I made a blender model and animation of this thing I experienced to show how it looks like and moves, and to use that as a way to find out if someone knows what it is, where or why. I don't know much more and am wondering what others know based on their encounters. It's somewhere at some time, seems huge. The discs are flattish and don't reflect light other than from the edges. I've tried posting in a few communities and get mostly aggravated answers, or overtly focusing on how I got this knowledge (almost like I've done something forbidden when it's not an aspect I care about), and one got modded hidden.

Gyroscope? 😆

You say that you "experienced" this, alright, I think we need more context.

Can you describe the experience?

I know it was a crucial part of the seminal 1997 Robert Zemeckis film "Contact" 🔥

No, that's not how we experience new information. We see it. With our eyes. Did you see this with your eyes?

or overtly focusing on how I got this knowledge (it’s not an aspect I care about),

Because there doesn't seem to be cosmic-scale object that looks like this. Epistemological aspect of this information is important, because it will inform us if it's just mind playing tricks or a real phenomenon.

How did you acquire this knowledge?

Edit: Have you consulted with a doctor about this? Knowledge doesn't just appear in your head. People usually read, watch or hear something and form new knowledge based on the experience.

This looks kinda like an orrery

I don't see shit when I close my eyes lol. Aphantasia.

soul/spirit has it’s own ways of experience

to achieve that insight it takes years of meditative practice, it doesn't just happen on it's own. That insight happens during action of meditation, just as we take action of seeing.

Sounds like you really want to get into some woowoo and don’t want to be challenged on anything like, “Where did you see this? How many times? Where can I see this?”

Sorry. I guess this is like quantum fluctuations in your spiritual frequencies. Probably implies a deep connection to the sky people. Maybe you can see past the dome through the æther. /s

That was a tongue in cheek jibe. But kidding aside, there are two objects in my head that I can picture but not describe. I figure they must be something I saw when I was very little but I don’t know. When I try to describe them I get irrationally upset. Maybe we’re keymasters. Who knows.

If I had images or thoughts appearing in my head without me doing it, or if I was hallucinating geometric patterns, I would be making an appointment with my doctor REAL QUICK. 🔥

The movie contact 😎

To be honest, this sound a bit like you had something like an epiphany, where you mind has been working on a problem in the background and suddenly it all seems to make sense.

However since you don't know what it means, I don't know if calling it an epiphany is correct.

I don't know what the pattern means, but something that might help is to talk about it less as an experience, and more of an unusual brain fixation, it might help you talk about it without being dismissed as a weird UFO guy.

I hope you will get some clarity of what it might represent, though keep in mind that it might not represent anything, and fixation on it will cause it to appear more important than it actually is.

The important distinction is when artists "conduit" stuff like this, they can easily discern fact from fiction; reality from fantasy. When they imagine a spaceship or an alien they know that those things aren't real.

A doctor would help you asses if you have trouble, differentiating thoughts that are based on reality and those that aren't. Human minds are little shits that lie, and some people have trouble seeing past those lies. Doctors have devised methods to help those people.

If you have aphantasia, could it be that you imagined those rings and you just don't know how imagination feels? Something like "Is my red the same as your red?", most people know how imagination works, but you don't know how to interpret it?
