Xbox pulls Gears video featuring a PS5 logo, 24 hours after announcing it as an exclusive

I don’t, mostly the surveys will always show that consumers want whatever the CEO was thinking about doing.

That aside though even taking this one at face value I have a really hard time believing that people care. Like how petty do you have to be to not want people on a PlayStation to be able to play the same game as you? It doesn’t make any sense to me just from a human perspective.

But even more they’re both just PCs with a fucking logo slapped on them, which was done specifically so that they would be easier to develop for and so companies would put their games on multiple consoles. If Xbox wants to be more exclusive then they should go back to having more exclusive hardware like using Power PC processors again.

Is the whole idea really just XBOX people being able to say to PS5 people "I have something you'll never be able to get"?

I think the execs overestimate how valuable that is. And yeah, that is extremely cringe-worthy.

I know what it is but, NGL my eyes glazed over the word when I read it originally, although I defo could see a major corporation actually saying that so I would believe it regardless.

Xbox tried to play nice and put their games on PlayStation. Sony didn't return the favor.

My assumption is that Microsoft made their games non-exclusive, because it gives them more sales in the short-term. If you need a good quarter to please investors, that's an easy way to do it, at the cost of your Xbox brand.

At least it would be wild, if they assumed that Sony, a profit-driven company, would just return the favor.

Exclusives make no sense in the current climate. Who is buying a console now to play 1 game? They are hoping they will sell more to brand loyal customers who feel less "betrayed" this way. I mean they will release it on PS5 eventually anyway, but dont tell the Xbox diehards that.

Sony are very anti-consumer, so that's never going to happen. They want to follow in Nintendo's footsteps, they just dont have the franchises to pull it off.

According to their recent feedback hub, what gamers really want is exclusives.

Why do consumers want so badly to be abused?

Honestly, I don't have enough time or money to worry about missing out on Sony games. They are good, but not that good. And there are so many good games that are on PC(my preferred platform), that I will not notice Sony being gone.

Sony don't deserve Xbox games now they've decided to yank away their first party games from the PC audience.

It's the same as when Sony announced Demon's Souls with a "also on PC" trailer.
