Pokémon UNITE will shut down on March 23, 2027, The Pokémon Company has confirmed. The free-to-play multiplayer game will no longer be available on Nintendo Switch or mobile devices after that date.
Some changes have already taken effect. Sales of Aeos Gems, the game's premium currency, have ended, and new UNITE Club memberships are no longer available. Automatic subscription renewals have also been disabled. Existing members can keep their benefits until their current subscription period ends.
One final update is coming in November
Pokémon UNITE will receive another update on November 12, 2026. It will introduce a special event featuring previously released items, including Unite licenses and Holowear.
The update will also add a library feature that lets players revisit selected records, achievements and collected items after the game's online service ends. Players must download the required data before March 23, 2027, to access the feature later. It will preserve certain game records, but it won't allow players to continue battling after the servers close.
What about players in Belgium and the Netherlands?
There is an important regional difference. Pokémon UNITE's service in Belgium and the Netherlands ended on November 30, 2025. The March 2027 shutdown applies to the game's remaining service in other regions.
For players who can still access the game, the final months offer one last chance to take part in battles and prepare their data before the servers go offline.
