Bill Skarsgård has officially been confirmed as the lead actor in PHYSINT, the upcoming action-espionage game from Kojima Productions.
The announcement was made during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 Broadcast on September 17, where Hideo Kojima also revealed a new poster featuring Skarsgård alongside actress Charlee Fraser.
Skarsgård is widely known for playing Pennywise in It, It: Chapter Two and It: Welcome to Derry. His other film credits include Nosferatu and John Wick: Chapter 4.
PHYSINT's cast continues to grow
Skarsgård joins a cast that already includes Charlee Fraser, Don Lee and Minami Hamabe. Those actors were first revealed for the project during Kojima Productions' 10th anniversary event in September 2025.
Kojima Productions also confirmed that Skarsgård and Fraser have already taken part in costume fittings, scans and camera tests earlier this year. Kojima said the work gave him confidence in the direction of the project.
PHYSINT is being developed as an action-espionage game and is the third original IP from Kojima Productions. Kojima has previously described the project as the culmination of his more than 40-year career as a game creator.
Xbox is publishing PHYSINT
The casting reveal comes shortly after Xbox was announced as the new publishing partner for PHYSINT. Kojima Productions and Xbox are already working together on OD - KNOCK, and PHYSINT expands that partnership.
There is still no release date for PHYSINT, while details about Skarsgård's character, the story and the gameplay remain limited.
For now, the casting gives the project its biggest new face yet. Bill Skarsgård is officially set to lead Kojima Productions' next action-espionage game.
