TMNT: Splintered Fate Adds New Final Boss in Major Version 2.0 Update
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate has received its Version 2.0 update, adding a new chapter to the main story and a new boss encounter against The Rat King.
Called The King's Gambit, the free update brings the game's main narrative to its conclusion. Players can take on the new story content and face The Rat King in a large-scale final encounter.
The update also adds new challenges and includes balance changes and other gameplay adjustments. A new Lair companion named Pepperoni is also available as part of the update.
New DLC and cosmetic content
Version 2.0 arrives alongside additional paid content. Slash is being added as a playable character, with his own Enrage ability that temporarily boosts his speed and attack power.
Players can also pick up a Samurai Armour Pack, which adds new outfits for the game's eight playable characters.
Super Evil Megacorp has also announced a Platinum Edition that bundles the game's previous DLC together. The developer is also preparing a Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Splintered Fate for later this year.
The Version 2.0 update gives players who have been following the campaign a new reason to return, while the new DLC expands the roster and cosmetic options beyond the conclusion of the main story.
