1000xRESIST Officially Gets a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition This Week
1000xRESIST is officially making the jump to Nintendo Switch 2 this week. Publisher Fellow Traveller and developer Sunset Visitor have announced a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of the sci-fi adventure, with the new version launching on August 20.
The announcement follows an ESRB rating that appeared earlier this year and had already hinted that a Switch 2 release could be on the way. That speculation can now be put to rest, with the upgraded version confirmed for Nintendo's newer console.
The Switch 2 Edition is set to improve the game's framerate and resolution compared with the original Nintendo Switch release. Beyond those improvements, however, the developers have not provided extensive technical details in the announcement, so the exact specifications of the upgraded version remain limited for now.
1000xRESIST originally launched in 2024 and is built around a science-fiction narrative experience. The game was released on Nintendo Switch as well as other platforms, with its story and presentation becoming a major part of its identity.
With the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition arriving on August 20, players who have yet to experience 1000xRESIST will soon have another way to play the game on Nintendo hardware. More specific details about the technical improvements would help clarify exactly how much the new edition changes over the original Switch release.
